A 1st half spot-kick by Harry Kane handed Tottenham a slim advantage going into the return leg of the semi-final of the Carabao cup.
The penalty was awarded in the 26th minute, after Referee Michael Oliver consulted VAR for the foul on Kane by Chelsea shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The contest was a very fierce one, with both Tottenham and Chelsea coming close, and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri feels his team still has a chance to progress to the final after the return leg at Stamford Bridge on January 24th.

In the 1st half, the blues hit the woodwork on two occasions, through a near-post flick by Kante and when Spurs goalie Paulo Gazzaniga skillfully turned the deflected cross of Callum Hudson-Odoi onto the post.
After the break, Andreas Christensen missed a glorious chance from just six yards, while Arrizabalaga had to prevent Kane from scoring a brace, producing a fantastic save.
