The empire actor “Jussie Smollett” pleaded not guilty on the 16 felony counts against him
The 36 year old was present at the Cook country courthouse alongside family members where he insisted on being innocent
The actor is said to be meeting with lawyers in new York city and los Angeles
And will be present in court again April and if found guilty, the actor will face 48 years behind bars
